  36. <br>Danger Will Robinson: Despite this being a PCL printer, 
  37. there is a slight annoyance. When the printer goes into 
  38. power saver mode, any Windows-based access over a network 
  39. requires that the printer be "woken up" before any serious 
  40. printing can be done. This is, I think, because the LaserJet 
  41. 4 doesn't have a "sleep" mode. Anyway, give it a kick with a 
  42. text-based editor (like PFE from Windows) and  then  it 
  43. works fine. Accessing the controls for the printer to turn 
  44. Power Save mode off permanently can only be done from Windows,
  45. AFAIK so I'm still looking for a way around this.
  46. Also, toner cartridges are  very  expensive (3 carts == 1 P8e)!</en>
